WELCOME

Jambo, a South African wholesaler established in 2000, supplies a unique range of quality handicrafts and curios created in partnership with traditional craftsmen, women and rural workgroups. It supplies retail shops stocking arts and crafts, interior designers as well as safari lodges and camps with traditional and contemporary craft ware in inspirational designs.

The designs are a result of collaborations with individual artisans and community based projects. This partnership empowers the crafts people and makes a difference to their communities.

Jambo also exports its extensive range of soap stone, horn, bone, basket ware, wood, accessories, jewellery and beads, kikoy and other textile products created by skilled craftspeople from Africa and elsewhere.

TAKE A CLOSER LOOK

Look closely at the intricacies of hand made pieces and appreciate the beauty of these items created by crafts people. The uniqueness may lie in the knot used by a basket weaver, the curve of a wooden stool, the shells attached to a hat or the plait of a leather handle. This beauty, not found in industrially manufactured items, is what makes a hand made item a timeless classic.
